Management

Looking back at this semester
We have not only learn about management
We learn to put vision in to our life
By planning, brainstorming, and decision making
We learn what kind of Profile System we are
And how well we work in teams
We also learn from each other
By commenting on our blogs
It's been a great semester
And I hope everyone pass!

Being a S-C Profile

After reflecting on the Personal Profile System, I think it accurately describe how I management style pretty well. I am a S-C profile which stands for Steadiness and Conscientiousness. This means that there is "Emphasis on cooperating with others to carry out task." and "Emphasis is on working conscientiously within existing circumstances to ensure quality and accuracy." I think of myself as a team player event though I have more power than the other person. I certainly take others into consideration when working on a task. I am also a person that ensures great quality and accuracy when given a task. I am the kind of person that like to maintain a status quo. I am working on trying to gain the qualities of a D. This just means that I want to be more firm with others. I think this personal profile system does help with personal interactions because everyone has a different style of managing. It helps us to sympathize with others when we have to work with people we don't necessarily agree with their ideas.

Communicating via Blogs

I think blogging as a communication tool for the class was very interesting and innovative idea. It gave me a chance to know my classmates without speaking to them face to face. I am usually a shy person when talking to classmates and getting to know them. Most of the time I usually only get to know the classmates when I participate in group projects with them. Blogging gave me a new perspective on the activities we worked o. It gave me a chance to know that my group was not the only ones that were having difficulty with the activity given. It also showed me how others planned their activities out that gave them success. For me, I think blogging was a great way to learn from others outside of the classroom. Blogging also gave me a sense of time management. When Professor Kurpis gives us an assignment and deadline, it's the same as if my boss gave me an assignment with a deadline to finish the assignment. By commenting on others, it's like your boss telling you that you have to send documents to other companies at a certain time. It gave a sort of hands on expeience. I think this was a great way of taking charge of 20% of our grade for the class. Even though this was a great assignment for a class, I sadly won't keep writing in this blog after the end of this class because I have a lot to do for my part-time job and doing class full-time.
